A short article today to keep you up to date with the latest news from R-Motions.
We have just finished the haute couture show during fashion week for Louis Vuitton with the Muto. The installation was a 1D cablecam that allowed the models to fly over the first straight line.
The Muto also took part in a cablecam shoot for 2 RedBull events to film world-famous FMX rider Tom Pagès, as well as filming the RedBull CliffDiving 2016 event in La Rochelle.
In addition to its work with Muto, which is dedicated to the TV broadcast, feature film and advertising industries, R-Motions is also developing 2 other movement solutions: the Grip-Box but also Transpaled.
The Grip-Box is currently in the development phase for a number of operations to allow us to put the product through its paces. So far, we've used it in a 'vertical rail' version on the edge of a stage during the NRJ Tour in Toulouse, in a 1D cablecam version on an evening event organised by Médiane and in a 2D cablecam version on the latest Longines advert.
This highly versatile product will enable users to multiply the number of uses for stabilised moving images on the same site, using the same equipment and the same interface. The product's versatility means it can be transformed into a cablecam, a motorised dolly on floor or suspended rails or curved rails, a vertical winch or vertical rails. Take a look at our online to find out about possible installation schemes. Applications range from TV broadcasting to film, advertising and events. All the gyrostabilised heads can be installed on the chassis for a maximum payload of 35 kg. From now on, it will be possible to motorise a cablecam on the same day, followed by a rail-mounted system!
Transpaled: what is it???
This is a system for moving LED screens on stage. The system can open 2 LED screens made up of assembled LED panels, such as the EKTA model. The screens can be opened and closed symmetrically, in parallel or independently, allowing them to be moved as if they were a door that opens and closes. They can also be moved simultaneously in translation, or left open. The advantage of this system is that the structure takes up very little space, allowing the screens to be moved without disturbing people walking inside the doors.
Managed by the R-Motions interface, this system uses a programmable system secured by sensors to allow controlled closure of the 2 screens. Once installed, the system for transporting the LED screens remains very discreet and hidden by the structure of the screens themselves.
